 BOOKINGS & RESERVATIONS

  • It is recommended that you make a reservation to zipline. It is possible to book when you arrive but please be advised that it is not guaranteed that you will be able to zipline.

  • Reservations can be made online through our integrated booking system or by calling 613-695-5803.

  • You should reserve as far in advance as possible. There is never guaranteed availability for a certain day. Popular time slots could be fully booked up to 1 week in advance.

  • Yes. Payment in full is required for any and all zipline bookings.

  • Payment must be made with a credit card using our online booking system or over the phone at the time of booking. No bookings will be final without full payment.

  • Payments may be made by Visa or Mastercard. We do not accept American Express.

  • Yes, a change of date can be made only once. The change can be done at the latest 48 hours before the day of the activity.

  • Bad weather, such as severe winds, intense rain or lightning, may cause delays to the activities but very rarely cancellations. Delays to activity are at the discretion of Interzip management.

    • Mid-May to Late-June: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

    • Late June - August: 7 days a week

    • September to Mid-October: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

  • There is no minimum number of participants. Reservations can be made for individuals or groups.

  • Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time in order to complete the registration process before your activity time. For groups of 10 or more please arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled time so that we may register and organize the group prior to ziplining.

  • Full payment is due at time of booking. The group organizer will have to pay for all group members in advance. No change of date or time will be allowed 48 hours before the day of the activity. Existing reservations will be added until 6 p.m. the day before the activity, if there is availability. You can move your reservation only once if it meets the 48-hour deadline. If it has not been rescheduled, the activity may be cancelled and refunded subject to a minimum notice of 7 days.

 FACILITIES AND LOCATION

  • At 40 rue Jos-Montferrand, Gatineau, Quebec, right in the heart of downtown Ottawa & Gatineau.

  • yes spectators are welcome. There is a designated viewing area for spectators near the registration area. However, spectators may not accompany zipliners to the tower.

  • Yes. Photos and videos may be taken from the spectator area only.

  • Parking is available on site, however due to the downtown location, it is paid parking.

  • The activity starts and ends at reception located at 40 rue Jos-Montferrand, in Gatineau. It is on the site of Zibi.

ZIPLINE

  • The zipline is just over 1200 feet long. You slide at top speed for roughly 30 seconds before you begin to stop.

  • At the end of the zipline you are slowed down by a unique spring based system which will roll you backwards until you are over top of the landing deck, where one of our staff will assist in removing you from the cable.

  • From the time you arrive on site the zipline process including registration, briefing, and cycling through the group booked into the half-hour timeslot for which you reserved, typically takes anywhere from 30 mins to 1 hour.

  • You begin your activity at our office located at 40 rue Jos-Montferrand in Gatineau. You will get checked in and receive your equipment here.

    Then, you will walk with your group across the bridge to our departure tower in Ottawa. The walk is approximately 8 minutes.

    Then you zipline back to Gatineau and return to our office to drop-off your equipment and watch your video!

  • Yes, for safety reasons, all of the following may prevent someone from ziplining: pregnant women, intoxication, missing limb (arm or leg), extreme asthma or breathing problems, epilepsy, high blood pressure, skeletal, joint or ligament problems.

    Participants must also respect the weight limit and weigh between 70 lbs and 250 lbs.

    Note that the participant must have full use of their arms, legs and hands and be able to walk up and down stairs without fatigue or assistance.

    The right to restrict access to any person is at the discretion of management.

  • Yes, the launch tower is 120 feet above the river and there is no elevator. All participants must climb the tower in order to participate.

  • For safety reason, yes. The minimum weight is 70 pounds and the maximumm weight is 250 pounds.

  • Interzip does not have a shuttle to transport participants from one side to the other. It will take about 8 minutes to walk from our office to the starting tower.

    Participants are also not allowed to have someone drive them to the departure tower.

  • For safety reasons, it is not possible to do the activity in tandem.

  • Yes, we have two separate cables. So you can race your friends and family to the finish line.
